Vida Dulce Imports was founded in 2002 by an emergency department nurse who saw a need for continuity in care for the Mayans living in the Lake Atitlan Region.  Designing original hand beaded jewelry and handbags made from recycled hand woven blouses, she started an importing company to share the Mayan Artisanship with the world while giving back to the community in healthcare and education projects.
